RSIDEA is an academic research group formed by researchers working on remote sensing. The academic guidance is professor Liangpei Zhang, the director is professor yanfei Zhong. The meaning of "RSIDEA" is "Intelligent Data Extraction, Analysis and Applications of Remote Sensing". The main research directions of RSIDEA are: hyperspectral remote sensing information processing, high-resolution remote sensing image understanding, multi-source remote sensing data geological interpretation. The research group has hardware facilities such as the UAV hyperspectral/visible/thermal infrared system, a thermal infrared hyperspectral imager, a video hyperspectral imager, and a million-industrial-scale server.

Yanfei Zhong, Yanfei Zhong received the B.S. degree in information engineering and the Ph.D. degree in photogrammetry and remote sensing from Wuhan University, China, in 2002 and 2007, respectively. He has been with the State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing, Wuhan University since 2007 and is currently a full Professor. His research interests include multi- and hyperspectral remote sensing data processing, high resolution image processing and scene analysis, and computational intelligence. He has published more than 80 research papers, including more than 40 peer-reviewed articles in international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing and IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics Part B, and Pattern Recognition. He was

elevated as IEEE Senior Member (2015), and was the recipient of the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of China (2009)and New Century Excellent Talents in University of China (2009). He was a Referee of more than 20 journals including IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, and Pattern Recognition. He is serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, and International Journal of Remote Sensing.（Google Scholar，ResearchGate，Linkin）

	[2017.5] Self-developed UAV thermal software and hardware system helped the heat leak detection in Sweden.	[2017.5] Mi Song and Yuting Wan in RSIDEA group participated in the 4th Evolutionary Computing and Learning Symposium (ECOLE 2017)held by Xidian University in Xi’ An during 19th-21th May ,2017.
	[2017.7] Xinyu Wang ,Yanfei Liu and Pengyuan Lv in RSIDEA group participated in 2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium holding in the Fort Worth, Texas, US with teacher Ruyi Feng in the July,2017.	[2017.4] Xiaobing Han, Yanfei Liu , Rongrong Gao, Song Cui, Siqi Wu, Qiong Cao, etc in RSIDEA group participated in the 7th Vision And Learning SEminar held by XiaMen University during 21th-23th April ,2017 with Professor Yanfei Zhong, teacher Liqin Cao, Ruyi Feng, Bei Zhao.
